I was actually quite surprised to see how many people wanted to stop their marketing campaigns. My initial question to them was, if this stops, what else is going to get you business? As a result, everyone who continued marketing has come out on top with some businesses doing better than ever before.

The biggest problem with stopping marketing due to COVID was that the referrals also stopped and the natural marketing flow that a lot of businesses established organically dried up really fast.

The market never disappears, it only changes and becomes more responsive to new triggers. This was my biggest learning with digital marketing through COVID.
